
VERY SIMPLE EGG RECIPES
Even the die-hard vegetarians find that
there’s a lurking passion with in them for eggs. What all can you do to
make an Omelette exciting? If you are alone and single, the Omelette
can represent an entire meal. So the more imaginative your Omelette is,
the better your dinner!
THE BASICS OF OMELETTE:
The following steps look elaborate but it only takes about 5 minutes to
actually make it.
I am sure everyone knows the basics of making an omelette but this is
for some of you who have never seen a kitchen stove…
- Take about 3 to 4 eggs and one by one tap a small hole in the egg
and let the egg white leak out into a small bowl.
- Then tap harder and let the yolk out in a separate bowl.
- Whisk the white properly.
- Whisk the yolk with a couple of tablespoons of milk (Milk adds
fluffiness to the omelette).
- Mix the white and the yolk carefully into a single bowl.
- Add salt and pepper as required.
- Then heat the pan and add a teaspoon of oil and pour the above
mixture.
- Let it cook on a low flame and after it is cooked remove from the
stove.
Now coming to the most interesting part of the omelette (i.e. fillings
for the omelette). You can make any one of the following and actually
it can be your entire dinner in just 10 minutes. Is it not interesting?
So go ahead and try one of these simple 10 minutes meals today.
Remember that after the filling is placed on the cooked omelette, both
the edges of the omelette should be brought together. Fillings can also
be used along with scrambled eggs.
VEGETARIAN FILLINGS:
- Stir-fry half an onion, half a tomato and half a capsicum. Add
salt, one chopped chilly and few coriander leaves and use it as filling.
- Stir-fry boiled peas, half-a-carrot chopped, 2 chopped beans. Add
salt and pepper to it. Add all the ingredients for the filling.
- Stir-fry few chopped pieces of potato, half tomato cut to pieces
and half onion cut to pieces. Add salt and pepper to the filling.
- Stir-fry chopped fresh spinach in a little butter. Add handful of
boiled macaroni to this. Add salt and pepper to this.
- Stir two tablespoons of sweet corn. Add salt and pepper.
- Stir-fry a few mushrooms and half an onion. Add salt and pepper
to it. Add a dash of mustard sauce to it and use as filling.
NON-VEGETARIAN FILLINGS:
- Stir-fry chicken strips; add a few chopped pieces of boiled
potato. Add salt and a dash of mustard sauce to it.
- Stir-fry handful of baby prawns in a little butter. Add a pinch
of salt and pepper to it. Squeeze a half-cut lime. Add a dash of
tobasco sauce to it if you like.
- Stir-fry chicken strips and few pieces of potatoes. Add salt and
pepper to it.
- Stir-fry bacon, onion. Add salt and pepper to it.
The most important thing while making an omelette is not stick to one
single recipe. Do a mix and match from all the recipes or experiment
with something that you could think out of the box. Do pluses and
minuses and overall be innovative and have an incredible egg!
